You may notice a lot of sketches, WIPS, and other unfinished work along with the finished ones. A lot of not good drawings as well as good. This is on purpose as not all drawings created by artists are by default "great" or even "good." It takes time and practice to get to that point. So this blog, unlike my website or even DA gallery, will have more WIPS, sketches, than any other online site I place artwork in. Because I believe that artwork should be exposed, that people should see artists for what they are: an ever developing being of process, not finished work.
We are not perfect. We do not always create works of art that are complete masterpieces. Most of these, for aspiring and growing artists, don't come often. Masterpieces take skill, time, and patience to create. Unfortunately these days I have less time than I'd like, but I'll be doin' me best.
Thank you for reading and looking at my art.
LOOKING FOR FAIL:
I recently found out that Adobe was giving out Photoshop CS2 for free, which is fortunate as I was unable to find my copy after my laptop fried. I'll still need to re-set up everything, though. It's been busy as hell, which has left me no time for comics, much less art. Once we're out of busy season and I might get a chance to breathe. I've been thinking a lot about the art style of the comic and where I'd like for it to go next. Before I had focused on quantity to get myself to draw faster, but it ended up feeling like a chore. So now I'm rethinking my steps in how to produce a better comic.
So we'll see! Keep your hats together! It's been a bumpy ride but there ain't no stoppin' yet!
