I've been handing out advice on proportion in many critiques in the past, and have decided that it is best to simply create a tutorial to link back to instead of writing the same things over and over again. I hope this tutorial will be useful to those who take the time to read it. :)

The tutorial includes:

Measurements of the head, arms, hands, and legs.
How the arms, neck, hands, legs, and feet are propotioned to the head and/or body.

The only thing I do not have proportion measurements are on the toes. Everything else is accounted for. If I am missing anything please mention it. I am very open to suggestions on how to make the tutorial better.

The "preview" picture is one of the chibis I drew for my upcoming website. What the website is called exactly...? I shall not say it now, for it is too early to release such goodness. :P

omg.... too much word... it looks real infomacial... but is a major turn off the minute i saw like 3 pages full of words.. no picture.. nothing... u should do pictures not word.ddd tat is the MAJOREST comment i can gif... and im not goin into details.. cuz i carn read it... it takes too much initiative.. and i'd rather earch for easier tutorials... sorry

Nice tut, but for something that talks about how to *draw* the human figure, visuals are sort of necessary. :P

umm i downloaded it but its just explonations didnt notice any exampels , o,o
